Program Coordinator, Missy Langston

The program Coordinator’s job is to coordinate the Committee's ideas and suggestions into workable ideas.

Missy is married and the mother of a little girl and a little boy. Her husband Jeff works for Nucor Yamato. Missy is very involved in P.E.O. Missy joined our staff in April 2003.

Facilities Coordinator, Donna Gentry

Donna maintains the buildings and rooms so they are clean and organized for use. Donna joined our staff in May 2005.

She is married and the mother of two, a son and daughter.

Assistant Organist / Children’s Music Director / Handbells Director, Davy Cook

Davy plays the organ at the 8:20 service and fills in at the main service during sickness or vacation. She also works with the children on special music and plays. She is also hand bell director. She has been with the church since 1992.

Davy’s name is Verona Crockett on her birth certificate. She was nicknamed Davy Crockett as a child and so Davy stuck. She had a coon-skin hat and shot her first game at the age of 12. She loves music and does her best to pass it on to as many youngsters and oldsters as she can. She teaches piano each day at the church. She has 7 children, 5 living. When she’s not camping out at the church she enjoys word puzzles, reading, and travel.

Chancel Choir Director, Liz Smith

Liz is the director for the choir. She practices with the choir regularly on Wednesday nights. She has a substantial background in choral and voice instructing. Liz joined the staff of FUMC in November 2003.

Liz is a lifelong Methodist. Since childhood she has been a part of church singing groups and choirs.

Organist, Frances Jackson

Frances plays the organ at the 10:50 service each Sunday morning. She plays for funerals and weddings of members of the church.

Frances is married to Bill Jackson.

Nursery Director Dorcas Dalton

Dorcas schedules the nursery for all church events and teaches pre-school Sunday School class along with Allison Predmore. She also makes sure the area is safe and clean and supervises the playground.

Nursery Worker, Nellie McLemore

Nellie lovingly cares for the infants and small children of persons attending worship services and other church activities. Nellie has been at FUMC since November 1994.

She is a widow with 3 grown children. She loves to work in her yard, spend time with her grandchildren and swim.

Nursery Worker, Mary Herron

Mary works in the nursery with her mother Nellie. She helps to provide a safe, loving, atmosphere for the children of the church. Mary has been with FUMC since May 1999.

Mary is married to Billy Herron, Jr. She has two boys. She loves to garden, and spend time with her family.

Wesley Ann is the newest addition to our nursery staff. She is enrolled in college for early childhood education and plans to become a teacher. She is a lifelong Blytheville resident and loves working with children.

Diana helps keep the finances of the church organized so the ministries of the church may best be facilitated.

She is married to Tom Holmes and has two grown sons. She owns her own business as a financial planner.

Contemporary Music Director,
Tony Wingard

Tony directs the music for the contemporary worship service Good News @ 9. He plays several musical instruments. He joined the church staff in August 2003.

Tony is married to Amy and has three beautiful daughters and one son. He works at the Blytheville School as Band Director by day.

Jennifer Woods
Children's Ministries Coordinator

Jennifer coordinates our children's programming, including Sunday school, VBS, children's choir, and any special activities for birth through 6th grade. She joined the staff in January, 2007. Jennifer is married to Ron Woods, and they have one daughter, Veronica. She also works part-time for Pollard-Geeslin Insurance Agency, and she loves to knit in her spare time.
